THE STORY BEHIND THE BRAND
About The Designer, Patrice Cotton
P. Cotton Designs had its humble beginnings in a one-bedroom apartment in Atlanta, Georgia. As a child, I spent hours watching my grandmother sew by hand while I sketched fashion designs beside her. When I was 15, my grandfather bought me my first sewing machine, and from that moment on, I was hooked. I loved creating my own clothes and bringing my ideas to life. The first piece I ever made was my 11th grade prom dress.
After graduating high school, I went on to study Fashion Design at Bauder College in Atlanta. I truly love what I do. The most rewarding part of this journey is seeing how my uniforms help young ladies and gentlemen build confidence and express themselves through style.
Our Journey Today
What started as a passion has grown into a purpose. Over the years, it took a lot of trial and error to find the perfect fabrics, trims, and techniques to create uniforms that are not only beautiful but also durable and functional. With the help of my mother, who serves as our head seamstress, we’ve been blessed to work with dance teams, coaches, and performers from across the country.
As the business has grown, so have our offerings. We now provide embroidery and vinyl services for fully customized apparel. Whether you’re part of a team, a small business, or an individual looking for something unique, we’re proud to offer more than just standard, cookie-cutter designs.
To all the parents, coaches, students, ladies, gentlemen, boys, and girls who continue to support P. Cotton Designs, THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart, we wouldn’t be here without you.
